Library Card Registration

All Hampton residents are eligible to get library cards, we just need a few things from you. Use your cell phone or mobile device to capture a photo of: A piece of mail addressed, postmarked, and delivered to you at your Hampton address. Doesn’t matter what it is as long as it arrived at your Hampton address via the mail. We will double check our files – if you have an inactive account we’ll help you reactivate it or issue you a new card. You will receive a library card number and pin for access to all of our online services. Your account will allow access to Overdrive, our online reading service, and your account. We will however still need you to come by the library with your photo ID to finish the final registration of your account. Until we confirm your photo ID, your account will only be able to check out two items from the library at a time. You can also pick up your physical library card at that time.
