Welcome to Summertime at Lane Library!
Summer at the Lane Library is filled with great events and tons of books to read! All ages can participate to win great prizes! Adult and teen patrons who finish a tracking bookmark will be able to redeem it at Las Olas, Blue Harbor Coffee, Susie’s Sweets or Huckleberry’s Candies. Children can earn a cute, tiny stuffed animal!
Check the Lane Memorial Library’s website for complete event information and to register for events. The Library welcomes full time community residents, local business partners, and summer travelers to all events. Summer reading kicks off on June 24th with our Block Party. Log your reading from June 27th-Aug 6th.
This year we will provide bookmarks for adults, teens, and children to keep track of their summer reading. Children will receive a small prize for each bookmark they submit. Children can only submit two bookmarks per week. Adults and teens who complete bookmarks can submit them for $5 at Huckleberry’s, Blue Harbor, & Susie’s Sweets. Bookmarks can not be combined. 1 visit per card. For up to $5. No cash value. Las Olas gift card only available at the Lane Library. While supplies last. Prize ticket must be validated by Lane Memorial Library. Register for events and classes on the library’s event calendar.
StoryWalk© at Marston School
The only thing Bobby wants for his birthday is a pet shark. So you can imagine his disappointment when his parents get him…a puppy.
Take a walk. Read a book. Have an adventure! From June 27th-August 26th the library will host a StoryWalk© at Marston School. Read Land Shark by Beth Ferry while you take a walk on the Marston School trail. Take a picture of the QR code at the end of the storywalk to have a chance to receive a special prize.
