HAMPTON -- After this spring's visit by New Hampshire Poet Laureate Marie Harris, the children's room at the Lane Memorial Library has run out of her latest poetry book, "G is for Granite." Children's librarian Cynthia Stosse said there is a waiting list for the book, which a local elementary school teacher wants added to the fourth grade curriculum. In an unprecedented event, Harris recently organized the first-ever national gathering of poets laureate in the Granite State. Copies of her book donated by the New Hampshire Library Association are being given to public libraries across the state. For information, visit poetryandpolitics.org.
