Presented by Mrs. John Maynard, 2 vols.; Mrs. Jeremiah Brown, 2 vols.; Boston Record Commissioners, 1 vol.; Interstate Commerce Commission, 1 vol.; State of New Hampshire, 6 vols. Ninety-six volumes have been added to the catalogue during the past year.
Number of volumes issued, 1,950; largest on any one evening, 56; least on any one evening, 7; average number per evening for the 50 evenings the Library was opened, 39.
Additional shelves, with a capacity of nearly a thousand books, have been placed in the Library room, thus supplying a long felt need, and adding much to the appearance of the room as well as to the convenience of the Librarian.
Among the more important books added to the Library we would call attention to the famous John L. Stoddard Lectures on his travels in the various countries of the world, in ten volumes. The value of these is greatly enhanced and the reading made more interesting by over one thousand fine illustrations. It is hoped that these volumes will find many readers.
