Howard Currier Page, Jr.

SEABROOK - Howard Currier Page Jr., 75, of Seabrook, former longtime resident of Hampton, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
He was born in born in Keene on Jan. 22, 1927, the son of the late Hon. Howard Currier Page Sr. and Maud (Glazier) Page.
Mr. Page attended the Emerson Boys School in Exeter, the Sanborn Seminary in Kingston, and Hampton Academy in Hampton.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 3705 Army Air Force Base Unit.
During his lifetime Mr. Page was the founder and president of the Howard Page Aluminum and Vinyl Products Co. of 2 Dover Ave. Hampton Beach, which later expanded to 200 Drakeside Rd. in Hampton.
Mr. Page was active in his community, as a bail commissioner for the Hampton District Court, served as a call firefighter for the Hampton Fire Department, was a member of the Hampton Planning Board, Municipal Budget Committee and the Marsh Reclamation Commission.
He was the chairman of the Winnacunnet High School Board, was a 50-year member of the Hampton's American Legion Post #35, was president of the Hampton Rod and Gun Club, member of the Abenaqui Country Club in Rye, President of the Profile Senior Golf Association and was actively involved in Hampton Boy Scout Troop 177 for many years as Scoutmaster and other capacities.
Mr. Page was the former owner of Page's Restaurant which was famous for its Shore Dinners, which later became the Seven Seas Restaurant located at Hampton Beach.
Mr. Page was also a member of Saint James Masonic Lodge #102 F&AM Member of the Valley of Portsmouth/Dover Scottish Rite, member of the Valley of Nashua Scottish Rite, Bektash Temple Shrine, East Gate Masonic Club of Seabrook, Charter Member of Tide Mill Chapter #67 of the Order of Eastern Star and member of the First Baptist Church of Hampton.
During his life, Mr. Page was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as camping with his scout troop.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Allen) Page, and four sons, Howard C. Page III and his wife, Jo-Anne, of Seabrook, Carl A. Page of Newburyport, Mass., Jason C. Page, and his wife, Noreen, of Seabrook, Nathan G. Page and his wife Alicen, of Hampton; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
PAGE - Howard C. Page Jr., 75, of Seabrook formerly of Hampton, died Jan. 9 2003. Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Remick-Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. There will be a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with interment at the family plot in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton.
