Children's Room Summer Reading Program
Children's Room Summer Reading Program Ends Wednesday, August 7
How the Reading Program Works:
Kids from age 3 through those that are going into 6th grade may participate in our Summer Reading Program. Children keep a log of the time that they read (or are read to). The reading logs are available in the Children's Room and online during the course of the program.
- Each child receives one free book upon signup. Please stop by the Children's Room to pick yours out!!
- For every hour logged, the child earns a raffle ticket for our summer finale drawing (we are raffling off 4 Kindle Fires for our "Independent Readers"!).
- For every 2 hours logged, they will receive a paper decoration to add to our summer wall display.
- When a child has read 3 hours, they can claim a mini prize from our treasure box.
All logs and raffle tickets must be completed and turned in by 12 pm, Wednesday, August 6 (the day before the Summer Reading Grand Finale Party) in order to be eligible for the drawing. The drawing is held at our Summer Reading Program Grand Finale Party.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF OUR EVENTS REQUIRE SIGNUPS. THESE EVENTS ARE NOTED ON THE CALENDAR AND THE WEBSITE. CALL THE CHILDREN'S ROOM (926-4729) TO SIGN UP.
